Lars Hansen (basketball)

Lars Erik Hansen[1] (born September 27, 1954) is a retired Danish Canadian professional National Basketball Association (NBA) player.

Amateur career

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Hansen grew up in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, where he was a basketball star at Centennial Secondary School. He would go on to play college basketball at the University of Washington in the United States.

Professional career

Hansen was selected in two NBA drafts: first in 1976, by the Chicago Bulls, and then in 1977, by the Los Angeles Lakers.[2]

In the 1978–79 season, Hansen appeared in 15 games with the Seattle SuperSonics.

In the 1980–81 season, Hansen was named Player of the Year and Top Scorer of the top-tier level Spanish League.[3] He also played with FC Barcelona.[4]
