Leader of the Opposition of Punjab (Pakistan)

The Leader of the Opposition Punjab (Urdu: قائد حزب اختلاف پنجاب), is an elected politician who, by Pakistan's law, is the leader of the Official Opposition in Punjab. The Leader of the Opposition leads the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab. The Leader of the Opposition is normally the leader of the largest party not within the government which is usually the second largest political party in the Provincial Assembly. He/She is normally viewed as an alternative Chief Minister. The current Leader of the Opposition is Hamza Shahbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) following the 2018 Punjab Provincial Elections in which Sardar Usman Buzdar was successful in forming a coalition government.
