Selections
- From 1960–1966, the American Football League (AFL), a competitor to the NFL, drafted picks competitively against the NFL. Due to the competitive nature of the two drafts during this era, some players were drafted by both AFL and NFL teams and are thus listed twice. Additionally, the rounds and pick numbers for these selections correspond to selections in their respective AFL drafts. Many of the teams are now NFL teams, they were not at the time of selection; the AFL merged into the NFL into one league in 1969.
- From 1967–1969, the AFL and NFL held a common draft. Following the AFL's merger into the NFL in 1969, the AFL teams became NFL team though they were not at the time of selection.
Supplemental Drafts
No Nebraska player has been selected as a standalone supplemental draft pick since the rule's inception in 1977.
Three former Cornhuskers were drafted in the 1984 NFL supplemental draft of USFL and CFL players:

CFL Drafts
The Canadian Football League (CFL), though a separate league, is the only other major gridiron football league that currently drafts competitively against the NFL. Only players of Canadian citizenship or otherwise 'non-import' status are eligible to be drafted in the CFL's Canadian College Draft.
