Note
  1. Certain award groups do not simply award one winner. They recognize several different recipients, have runners-up and have third place. Since this is a specific recognition and is different from losing an award, runner-up mentions are considered wins in this award tally. For simplification and to avoid errors, each award in this list has been presumed to have had a prior nomination.

Their fourth Korean EP Tonight yielded two singles, “Tonight” and "Love Song", with the latter winning Song of the Year (April) at the 1st Gaon Chart Music Awards and Best Music Video at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards. The same year, Big Bang was presented the first ever award for Best Worldwide Act at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards. At the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards, Big Bang were nominated in six categories, winning three including Artist of the Year and Best Male Group. They were also awarded the Guardian Angel award at the same ceremony following the success of their Alive Tour. Alive and its singles “Blue” and “Fantastic Baby” won Album of the Year (1st Quarter) and Song of the Year for February and March respectively at the 2nd Gaon Chart Music Awards.

In 2015, Big Bang was the most nominated and awarded act at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, winning four out of eight nominations, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Bang Bang Bang”, and Best Music Video for “Bae Bae”.
