Below are the 20 largest hedge funds in the world ranked by discretionary assets under management as of mid-2020. Only assets in private funds following hedge fund strategies are counted. Some of these managers also manage public funds and offer non-hedge fund strategies. For example, BlackRock of New York City is the largest investment manager in the world, with around US$7.32 trillion assets under management in all types of funds.[1]
