Liv Hansen

Liv Hansen (born October 25, 1983)[1] is a British-Danish actress,[2] author, photographer and businesswoman.[3][4][5] She is known for her quirky strong-willed onscreen presence.[2]

Background

Hansen was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark to Danish parents and is fluently bilingual in English and Danish.[6] She is an alumna of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.[7] She attended Bellahøj Elementary School in Copenhagen and Hoopa Valley High School on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation in Hoopa, California. After graduating high school, Hansen moved to Los Angeles to study acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Since completing her acting studies, Liv Hansen has worked on numerous films and TV shows including Smallville (2011), Endgame (2011), Supernatural (2012), Churchill's Secret (2015) and The Legend of Tarzan (2016) directed by David Yates. Hansen portrayed the pregnant evil nurse Louise in Born Evil which was selected to run at Sitges Film Festival[8] (2017).

Photography

Hansen was a finalist in the Events Photography Awards 2015[9] with her portrait titled "A backstage moment with John". The ceremony was held at the Barbican Centre in London in the spring of 2015.[10] Hansen subsequently published a book of portrait photography titled Almost New York (ISBN 1320485235), published in August 2015. She has photographed events on behalf of the Danish Embassy in London and her work also includes a number of portraits of the current Danish Ambassador.[11]

Business career

In April 2018, Hansen launched Eighteen Valley[12] a selection of homeware and travel accessories inspired by Scandinavian minimalism.[13] The company is based in London, United Kingdom. Hansen founded notebook brand minimalistnotebook.com[14] in June 2020.
