Liver or Die
Liver or Die (Korean: 왜그래 풍상씨; RR: Waegeurae Pungsangssi; lit. What's Wrong, Poong-sang!) is a 2019 South Korean television series starring Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Ji-ho, Jeon Hye-bin, Lee Si-young and Cha Seo-won. It aired from January 9 to March 14, 2019 on KBS2's Wednesdays and Thursdays at 22:00 (KST) time slot.[2][3]

Synopsis
The story of Lee Poong-sang, a lonely middle-aged man, who has never lived for himself.[4][5]
Lee Poong-sang is the eldest brother and father figure of his family. At age 17, he raised his four siblings after his mother left the family followed by his father.
Even after he got married, he continues to dedicate his life to them, taking care and picking up after them each time they cause troubles. This creates friction and unhappiness for his wife and daughter as he always prioritize his siblings over them.
One day, he is diagnosed with liver cancer and needs a transplant. After 30 years dedicating his life caring for his self-centered and quarrelsome siblings, will they willingly donate their liver to save him? Also will his illness finally brings the family together?

Production
The first script reading took place on October 31, 2018 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.[12]
The series is the third collaboration between screenwriter Moon Young-nam and director Jin Hyung-wook after Three Brothers (2009-2010) and Wang's Family (2013-2014).

- In order to circumvent Korean laws that prevent commercial breaks in the middle of an episode, what would previously have been aired as single 70 minute episodes are now being repackaged as two 35 minute episodes, with two episodes being shown each night with a commercial break between the two.[1]
