Lowerhouse Cricket Club

Lowerhouse Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Lancashire League, which plays its home games at The Brooks Foundation Ground on Liverpool Road in Burnley. For the 2017 season its captain is Ben Heap, and its professional is South African Ockert Erasmus.[1] In recent years the club has been very successful, winning the League in 2011 and 2014, the League and Worlsey Cup in 2012 and the Twenty20 Cup in 2013. The club won the league for the first time in 2005, captained by Joe Beneduce, having won the cup for the first time the year before, captained by Matt Hope.[2] It has employed professionals including Ryan Harris, Martin van Jaarsveld, Jacques Rudolph and Peter Fulton.[3]
