Luang Por Khun Parissuddho

Khun Parissuddho (Thai: คูณ ปริสุทฺโธ, alternatively Luang Por Khun, occasionally with honorific titles Luang Por and Phra) or in honorific name "Phra Dhebwiddhayakama" (Thai: พระเทพวิทยาคม[1]) was a Thai Buddhist monk. He was based in Wat Ban Rai. He died on 12 May 2015, age 91.

Early life

He was born on 4 October 1923.[2] He was birthname is Khun Chatproklang. He was a son of Bun and Thongkhao Chatproklang. He had two younger sisters. His parents died during his youth. He and his sisters so in parenting by his aunt. When he was 6 years old, he so study of buddhism merit and Thai language with Ajahn Chueam Widdharo, Ajanh Chai and Ajahn Lee.[2]

Dhamma life

He was ordin in Wat Thanon Hak Yai on 5 May 1934,[2] with dharma name Parissuddho. He so regestited for students of Luang Por Daeng from Wat Ban Nong Phoe. He was bhikku who strictly practice of dharma, he so respected by many people.

Next, he was regestired for students of Luang Phor Khong Bhuddhasaro. When he was understand the Dharma. He then went dharma travel in Nakhon Ratchasima province, and went dharma travel far to Laos and Cambodia. In 1939, he so return to Nakhon Ratchasima Province, he and people in Ban Rai village so developed Wat Ban Rai for activitive of bhudda for people in village. He based in that until died on 12 May 2015,[3] age 91 years old. His funeral was held on 29 January 2019, in Khon Kaen University.[4]
