MBC 4
MBC 4 is an Emirati free-to-air television channel targeted towards women and teenagers. It broadcasts Western movies and TV shows subtitled in Arabic.[1] It was launched on 1 February 2005 at 5:00 P.M. (GMT).

MBC 4 is the first free-to-air channel in the Middle East aired specifically for American programs. It is one of the many spun-off channels from the Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC). Before this channel was launched, all its shows were broadcast on MBC 2. However, a few years after launching MBC 2, all programs except for movies were separated into MBC 4, so that MBC 2 will only show movies. MBC 4 is now broadcasting the popular American television series Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.
MBC 4 started airing Nickelodeon shows including Victorious, iCarly, Sam and Cat, The Thundermans and Drake & Josh following the closure of Nickelodeon Arabia in 2011. These shows were broadcast in English with Arabic subtitles. The Nick Jr. shows including Blue's Room.

Overview
MBC 4 is extremely popular in the region for showing the latest in western entertainment the channel shows everything from science fiction programs, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed, to sitcoms like Friends and Malcolm in the Middle.
All of the programs are subtitled in Arabic with the exception of the news shows which air live.
In addition to showing popular television shows. MBC 4 also airs talk shows such as The Oprah Winfrey Show and Dr. Phil. In the morning hours viewers will usually find American news shows such as Up to the Minute and World News Now.
MBC 4 is also well known for being the only channel in the Middle East to broadcast Days of Our Lives. The soap has since gained wide popularity in the region.
