It also shows action movies shows anime on a daily basis subtitled in Arabic Arabic Subtitles. It is aimed mainly at male audiences, unlike its sister channel MBC 4 which is aimed at female audiences.[3]

On 1 July 2011, MBC Action HD was launched.
