History
In November 2017, the Public Transport Authority called for tenders for a new ferry to replace the Shelley Taylor-Smith.[1][2] In December 2018, the contract was awarded to Dongara Marine of Port Denison.[3][4] The ferry was named after a 62-year old Asian elephant at Perth Zoo.[5] It entered service on 20 December 2019.[6][7]
