Madeline Stone

Madeline Stone is an award-winning American songwriter with multiple Gold and Platinum albums.

Stone, who is Jewish, lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and specializes in Inspirational music.[1]

Stone was born in Brooklyn, and reared on Long Island. She is a graduate of Syracuse University in music education, and holds a master's degree in music therapy from Goddard College.[2]

This multi-platinum award-winning songwriter is best known for her Inspirational music, such as "It's in God's Hands Now," co-written with Allen Shamblin, which won the Song of the Year and Dove awards. She also has written hits for country, pop, and R&B singers.[2] These include Billy Gilman, CeCe Winans, Jaci Velasquez, Steve Holy, Jane Zhang, Ray Charles, Melba Moore, Wilson Phillips, Alannah Myles and United States Senator Orrin Hatch.[2] She has had hits in movies like Oceans 12[3] and Stuart Little and recently the American Fango.

The legendary songwriter, Hal David, discovered Stone, and his introductions led to her recordings by Joe Simon and K.C. and the Sunshine Band. She wrote for Sony Music for 15 years and was also signed to Warner Brothers. Madeline notes that her work has often included collaborations with great songwriting talents, including Toby Gad (John Legend's All of Me}; Neil Diamond; Bob Gaudio (Four Seasons); Red Lane; CeCe Winans; Debbie Hupp; Allen Shamblin; and Stewart Harris, co-writer of No One Else on Earth for Wynonna Judd.
