Maria Mochnacz is a British photographer and music video director; best known for her cooperation with PJ Harvey.

Life

Mochnacz holds a degree in fine arts. She attended also photography course in Weston-super-Mare.[1][2] At her work she does not use Digital cameras. Since 1991 she has been working with musicians. She has been doing fashion and fine art work, as well.[3] She authored most of the PJ Harvey's Music videos and cover arts,[4] including the most recognizable Rid of Me.[2] She has been cooperating also, among others, with Marianne Faithfull,[5] Robert Miles, M People, Julie Feeney, Richard Ashcroft, Robert Plant, Nick Cave,[6] NO! NO! NO!.[7]

In 1980s her boyfriend was John Parish.[2] She has twin sister Annie Mochnacz, fashion designer.[8]
