On November 9, 2007, Malaysian media reported that Perak FA had secured Berrios' services along with his fellow countryman, Jorge Antonio Muñoz.
Berrios was a Chilean U-20 international at 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship.[2] He made 7 appearances and scored one goal for Chilean national youth team in 2001.[3]
