Martin Tierney

Martin Tierney (born 04 April 1966) is a Scottish former football central midfielder and TV pundit who played professional football in Scotland, Ireland for a number of years before moving to Asia and playing in Pro Asian leagues and the North America Professional leagues.

Career

Before the 1997 season, Tierney signed for Singaporean side Geylang after playing for Penang in Malaysia and Irish club Bohemian.

Before the 1998 season, he signed for Connecticut Wolves in the American second division despite offers from England, but retired due to injury.[1]

Post-Retirement Career

Tierney has started his own company, Soccer Experience which provides soccer and coaching services. While in the USA he was offered the opportunity to become a director of coaching who worked with elite youth players and also elite college players from the likes of University of Tulsa, Oklahoma state university, Harvard University. Tierney is also a pundit on the Astro Supersport coverage of the English Premier League.
