Maxime Plescia-Büchi

Maxime Plescia-Büchi (born Lausanne, Switzerland 1978) is a Swiss tattoo artist and creative director.[1] After studying psychology and graphic design, he lived in Zurich, Paris, and London to work in design before starting Sang Bleu magazine. He also [2] apprenticed as a tattoo artist under Filip Leu in the former's hometown of Lausanne in 2006.

Returning to London, Plescia-Büchi opened up the Sang Bleu tattoo studio,[3] and founded Swiss Typefaces[4] and Novembre Magazine.

Early life

Plescia-Büchi's first forays into the art world dealt with his enjoyment of graffiti.[5]

In 1998, Plescia-Büchi studied psychology at the University of Lausanne and graphic design at ECAL. From there he worked for magazines and design studios such as NORM, North Design, Self Service Magazine, and Arena Homme. He worked with clients such as Miu Miu, Chloe, and various visual identities. After returning to Lausanne to apprentice under Filip Leu, Plescia-Büchi returned to London to open his own studio, Sang Bleu. His business grew into a magazine, creative agency, and clothing collaborator.[6]
