Mayuri Deshmukh

Mayuri Deshmukh is an Indian actress who has performed in several television serials as well as Marathi-language movies. Mayuri began her formal career in acting in 2011.[1][2]

Personal life

On 20 January 2016, Mayuri married Marathi actor Ashutosh Bhakre.[3][4][5][6] He died by suicide on 29 July 2020.[7]

Career

Mayuri has been actively involved in theatre[8] (both experimental and commercial) since 2011.

Mayuri appeared in 2014 Dr. Prakash Baba Amte – The Real Hero alongside Nana Patekar.

She won Best Actress in all ekankika competitions like the prestigious Umbartha and Uttunga across Maharashtra for her role of Meera in the one-act play June July (2015). She appeared in her first commercial play, Pleasant Surprise,[9][10] with Suyog production. (2016).

Mayuri played the lead character Manasi in the daily soap Khulta Kali Khulena, which aired on Zee Marathi. Her character Manasi was well received by audiences.[11]

Her film 31 Divas,[12][13][14][15][16] released on 2018 July 20.

In 2018 March, Dear Aajo,[17][18][19] a play written [20] and enacted by Mayuri opposite Sanjay Mone,[21] was staged and continues to stage. The play has received rave reviews by the media all across Maharashtra.[22] The play was adapted into Gujarati as Shanu & Nanu and in Kannada as well.[23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31]

Currently Mayuri portrays character of Malini in Imlie on Star Plus.
