Mehreen Pirzada

Mehreen Kaur Pirzada is an Indian model and actress who appears predominantly in Telugu and Tamil-language films.[2][3] Pirzada made her debut in 2016 with the Telugu film Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha.[4][5] in which she was paired opposite Nani. Mehreen made her Hindi debut with Phillauri in 2017, and her Kollywood debut with Nenjil Thunivirundhal opposite Sundeep Kishan and directed by Suseenthiran in 2017. She also appeared in Naga Shaurya starrer, Aswathamma, which released in 2020.

Early and personal life

She was born in Punjab in Bhatinda in a Sikh family to an agriculturist and realtor father and a housewife mother.[6][1] Her only sibling is a brother named Gurfateh Pirzada who is also a model and actor.[7]

In February 2021 at the age of 26, Mehreen Kaur Pirzada formally got engaged with Bhavya Bishnoi, son of Adampur in Hisar MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi and grandson of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. Bhavya had also contested and lost 2019 lok sabha elections from Hisar as an Indian National Congress candidate.[1]

Career

Modelling career

Mehreen did her first ramp walk at the age of ten and won the title of Kasauli Princess at a beauty pageant. She was later crowned Miss Personality South Asia Canada 2013 in Toronto.[8] She modelled for popular designers through Jemini Face Modeling company and acted in many a commercial ads in Canada and India. She is also the Face of Dove India and endorses Nikon, Pears and Thums Up on TVC and print media.

Film career

Mehreen made her debut with the Telugu movie Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha[4] in which she played the character of Mahalakshmi.[9] The movie was successful in Telugu states and at the US box office.[10] In March 2017, she debuted in Hindi cinema with the movie Phillauri alongside Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma.[11] Her appeared in 2019 in the film F2: Fun and Frustration. She also had a role in Ardab Mutiyaran as Shruti opposite Ninja and Sonam Bajwa vinay
