F3 (film)

F3: Fun and Frustration is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. A sequel to the 2019 film F2: Fun and Frustration, it is produced by Dil Raju from his studio Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah, and Mehreen Pirzada, with the music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Development

Following the success of F2: Fun and Frustration (2019), producer Dil Raju announced its sequel in February 2019. He added that a third lead actor will be casted for the sequel.[2][3] However, in April 2020, director Ravipudi clarified that there was little space for a third protagonist.[4]

Venkatesh, Tej, Tamannaah and Pirzada are reprising their roles from the sequel. Devi Sri Prasad, who scored the music for F2, is retained as the music composer.[5]

Principal photography

F3 was formally launched in December 2020.[6] Principal photography of the film began on 24 December 2020 in Hyderabad.[7][8] Varun Tej has joined the production in January 2021.[9][10]

Release

On 28 January 2021, the film's release date was announced as 27 August 2021.[1]
