Presentation

The EQS was presented at the International Motor Show Germany in 2019 as the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS and foreshadows the future Mercedes-Benz series luxury electric sedan announced for 2021.

Technical details

The EQS is based on the technical platform specific to the electric models named MEA, the first EQ model to do so.[2][3]

It is equipped with a light grille made with a matrix of 188 LEDs, when the rear receives a light strip called "Lightbelt" composed of 229 bright stars across the width of the EQS.[4]

MBUX Hyperscreen

The Mercedes-Benz EQS will sport a 56-inch curved OLED screen that covers nearly the full extension of the dashboard.[5] The whole infotainment system is powered by eight CPU cores and 24-gigabytes of RAM.[6]

It has about 377 square inches of screen. It consists of three separate displays under one glass panel. The multi-purpose digital dashboard has been well received.[7]
