Merope (Greek myth)

Merope (/ˈmɛrəp/; Ancient Greek: Μερόπη "with face turned" derived from μερος meros "part" and ωψ ops "face, eye"; alternatively "bee-eater bird" from merops) was originally the name of several characters in Greek mythology.
