Midland Counties Championships
The Midland Counties Championships [1] was a grass court tennis tournament held at Edgbaston Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club, Edgbaston, Great Britain from 1881 to 1965.

History
The tournament was established in 1881 at the Edgbaston Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club, Edgbaston near Birmingham, England and ran for seventy three editions until 1965. The event featured both men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions [2] and was classified as an open tournament. [3]
Champions
Notes: Challenge Round: The Final round of a tournament, in which the winner of a single-elimination phase faces the previous year's champion, who plays only that one match. The challenge round was used in the early history of tennis (from 1877 through 1921) [4] in some tournaments not all.
