Ministry of Cultures, Decolonization and Depatriarchalization (Bolivia)

The Ministry of Cultures, Decolonization and Depatriarchalization is a Bolivian government ministry with the stated intention to "decolonize and de-patriarchalize [and to] reverse this inequality between nationalities, as well as between men and women."[1]

The Ministry was formed through Chapter XX of Supreme Decree 29894, issued by President Evo Morales on 7 February 2009 as the Ministry of Cultures and Tourism.[2] It was dissolved amid the COVID-19 pandemic through Supreme Decree 4257, issued by President Jeanine Áñez on 4 June 2020. However, on 20 November the newly inaugurated government of Luis Arce reinstated the office changing the name to Ministry of Cultures, Decolonization and Depatriarchalization.
