Mohammad Omran Alshamsi
Mohammad Omran Al Shamsi has 35 years of work experience with Etisalat,[1][2][3] retiring as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman in 2012.
Early life and education
In 1977, he graduated from Cairo University with a degree in Electronics and Communications.[4][5]
Board positions
He is currently a member of the Board of Emirates Foundation,[6] member of the Board of Governor of Khalifa University of Science Technology & Research and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ras Al Khaimah Properties Company.[7] He is also the Chairman and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology[2] in the status of a minister and chairman governors of RAK Medical & Health Services University.[8]
Since 2015 he has been serving as chairman of The National Bank of Ras Al Khamah.[9]
Since 2016 he has been serving as director of the UAE Banks Federation.[9]
Currently he holds the position of the chairman at the Rakban.[10][11]
Awards
In 2010 he was awarded the International CEO Award by the International Telecommunications Awards. He also won the Lifetime Achievement Award from CEO Middle East Conference.[12]
