Naan (1967 film)
Naan (transl. Me) is 1967 Indian Tamil-language masala film, directed by T. R. Ramanna. The film was produced by T. K. Ramarajan under the production company, "Sri Vinayaka Pictures". The film's script was written by T. N. Balu. The soundtrack was composed by T. K. Ramamoorthy. The film stars Ravichandran, Jayalalithaa, R. Muthuraman and Vijayasri. It was remade in Telugu as Nenante Nene and in Hindi as Waris.[2]

Plot
A rich man's son gets lost at a very young age while trying to escape his father's enemy. His father, searches for his son in vain for a few years and dies. Years later, 3 people visit the palace claiming to be the prince and seek rights to all properties. All 3 unanimously have the identities of the lost son and answer all questions related to the family history. The palace management are left with no choice but to accommodate all 3 men unless they find the true heir. The story takes a complete U turn when it is revealed that none of them are the true heir and there is a 4th person who is the real prince, whose whereabouts are unknown. The only way to reach the real prince is via these 3 people who know his whereabouts.

Soundtrack
Music was composed by T. K. Ramamoorthy and lyrics were written by Kannadasan and Vaali.[3][4] The song "Vaandhal Ennodu Ingey" is based on the title track from the American film, Come September (1961).[5]

Release and reception
This Deepavali release ran for 175 days. The Mother and Son dual role of Nagesh became the talk of the town.
