Nalneesh Neel

Neel was born in Bisalpur Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh.[1] After completing his study he moved to Shahjahanpur, where he started doing theatre under the guidance of his mentor Dalip Anand.[1] He played characters in several plays.

Neel has appeared in Raees, Fukrey Returns, Shuddh Desi Romance, Chhichhore and Gulabo Sitabo.[5][6] He has a role in the upcoming film Bhor.[7][4] He made is Hollywood debut with The White Tiger[8] in the film The White Tiger[9] directed by Ramin Bahrani. He was highly praised for playing the role of a vitiligo lips in the film.

Neel has worked on short films including The Foreigner,[10] Acche Din[11] and Umeed[12]

Neel appeared in two advertising campaigns concerning the Indian economy: Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, 5rs ki maut,[13] The case video Must Go On[14] and the NGO advertisement No to Violence, Yes to Love.[15] and commercials including SAMCO[16] Kisan Pipe[17] and Cello Pen Maxtreme.[18]

Neel regularly performs in the theater under his own production SRS Entertainment. He is currently performing in the short solo play Ek Haseena Paanch Diwane[19] based on Harishankar Parsai’s story.

Neel won Critic's Choice Best Actor (Male) for his role in Achchhe Din[11] at Acharya Tulsi Short Film Festival in Mumbai.

In 2020, Nalneesh Neel won the award for Best Actor in A Negative Role for his performance in the film Bhor at the Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival of Boston.[21][22]
