Nancy Simons
Nancy Joan Simons (born May 20, 1938), later known by her married name Nancy Peterson, is an American former competition swimmer and Olympic medalist. She represented the United States as an eighteen-year-old at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, where she won a silver medal as a member of the second-place U.S. team in the women's 4×100-meter freestyle relay with Sylvia Ruuska, Shelley Mann and Joan Rosazza.[1] She also competed individually in the women's 100-meter freestyle, but did not advance beyond the event semifinals.

Swim career
Nancy had been swimming at the start from a very young age. When she first started to compete, it was for the Chicago Town Club.[2] She later on got the opportunity to go and compete at a higher level in the Olympics.
Education
Nancy attended and graduated from Western University, Evanston, Illinois.[3] When she was a freshman in college, her swim coach knew she was talented. Her coaches name was Walter Schlueter and he was a former Olympic swimming coach.[4]
Personal
Nancy was raised by her parents Neil Simons and Joan Baim. They both were writers.[5] Nancy grew up with one sister. Her name was Ellen Simon. Ellen was a screenwriter.[6]
Nancy met Woody Harrelson and married him on June 29, 1985.[7] Their marriage took place in Tijuana, Mexico.[8] Woody Harrelson is an American Actor.[9] They were only married for one year and were divorced on January 20, 1986.[10] A couple years later Nancy met David Florimbi. He’s an American artist.[11] They were married by the year 1992 and got married in Italy.[12] One year after their marriage they had their first child. The two of them share one daughter together, her name is Sophia Florimbi. She was born in 1993.[13]
