Neha Marda

Neha Marda is an Indian television actress. She is well known for her role Gehna in Balika Vadhu[1][2] and Urmi Singh Rathore in Doli Armaano Ki series broadcast by Zee TV.[3]

Personal life

Neha is a native of Rajasthan. She was born and brought up in a Marwari family in a district town near Kolkata. On 10 February 2012, in Kolkata, she married Ayushman Agrawal, a Patna-based businessman,[4] in an arranged marriage when she was 26 years old.[5]

On 1 July 2018, she founded an academy in Patna known as the Royal Opera House Academy(ROHA)[6] that provides training in dance, drama and singing to performing arts enthusiasts.[7][8]

Performances

Neha Marda is popularly known as 'Gehna' for her role in the Balika Vadhu series. In an interview, Neha said, "she watched the CDs of Bandit Queen to get into the skin of her character Gehna in Balika Vadhu."[9]

She appeared in the dance shows Kaboom.[10] and won Boogie Woogie thrice when she was 11, 17 and 19 and judged for an episode when she was 21.[11]
