Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti

A dream scares Rishi. His sister Roli gets into a fight. Rishi runs away from home as his parents, Kuldeep and Shubhra, quarrel. He expresses his fears about his parents getting divorced.Due to the forged signatures, Roli’s principal summons Shubhra and Kuldeep. Kuldeep and Samaira’s car collides with the former’s mother. Later, Shubhra stops Roli from attending a birthday party. The kids celebrate Kuldeep and Shubhra's anniversary. Kuldeep makes an excuse of a meeting due to the promise made to Samaira. Shubhra meets her mother. Her father gets angry on seeing Shubhra. Everyone at home wait for Kuldeep. He spends quality time with Samaira and they both come close. Rishi falls down the stairs and gets hurt. Kuldeep feels guilty about cheating on Shubhra. Kuldeep returns home late and lies to Shubhra that he was busy at the office. Shubhra gets upset with Kuldeep. Kuldeep apologises to her and tells her about Samaira coming for lunch. Samaira visits Kuldeep for a meal and brings gifts for Roli and Rishi. On seeing Kuldeep's tie in Samaira's purse, Shubra gets suspicious. Later, Kuldeep and Shubhra have an argument.Kuldeep manages to mollify Shubhra. Roli and Rishi resolve to invite their grandparents for their school function and ask Shubhra the address of their grandfather. Kuldeep returns home drunk. Shubhra overhears Kuldeep talking about Samaira's proposal in his sleep. Kuldeep slaps a friend when he speaks ill about Samaira. Rishi and Roli arrive at their maternal grandfather's house.Roli and Rishi create an uproar at their grandfather’s house. Shubhra’s father lashes out at his wife for talking about her. Shubhra and Kuldeep look for the children. Roli and Rishi arrive home. Kuldeep takes the children to a resort. Surprisingly, Samaira arrives there and Rishi sees her cuddling Kuldeep. Roli falls into the swimming pool while dancing around it and a man saves her. Chandrini, Kuldeep's mother, takes Shubhra's mother to her house. Rishi confronts Kuldeep about cuddling Samaira at the resort. Samaira meets with an accident. Rishi reveals the truth to Shubhra. Shubhra explains to Rishi that Samaira and Kuldeep are friends. Further, she goes to Kuldeep’s office, where she learns that he has quit his job. She sees Kuldeep in Samaira’s car. Roli uses a disguise to frighten Rishi, who tells her about the incident at the resort. Shubhra follows Kuldeep and Samaira. She confronts him at the café. Kuldeep tries to pacify Shubhra. Shubhra censures Roli’s habit of stealing. Kuldeep accuses Shubhra of not imparting good values to the kids. Further, Shubhra accepts Kuldeep’s decision to work in Mumbai. Kuldeep lies to Shubhra and leaves for Mumbai. Shubhra’s friends see Kuldeep and Samaira together and tell Shubhra about it. After arriving in Mumbai, Kuldeep stays at Samaira’s house. Kuldeep lies to Shubhra that he is staying at company's guest house. Shubhra asks him to come home for 'Karva Chauth' and Samaira overhears this. Chandrani mistakenly sends 'sargi' for Shubhra. Samaira tells Kuldeep that she is pregnant. On Sanjana's insistence, Shubhra arrives to meet Kuldeep for 'Karva Chauth'. Later, Shubhra goes to the address received from Kuldeep's office. Kuldeep gets nervous on seeing Shubhra. Meanwhile, Rishi accidentally swallows a marble. Samaira deliberately gets close to Kuldeep before Shubhra. On seeing them together, she loses her cool. Shubhra regains consciousness and asks Kuldeep why he cheated her. Meanwhile, Sanjana recounts Kuldeep and Shubhra’s love story before Rishi and Roli. Later, Samaira makes an offer to Shubhra. Samaira tells Shubhra that she and Kuldeep love each other. Shubhra slaps her on hearing her proposal. She hands over her ‘mangalsutra’ to Kuldeep and ends their relationship.On Sanjana's request, Madhura, Shubhra's mother, visits a heartbroken Shubhra to pacify her. On Madhura's insistence, Chandrani visits Shubhra. There, she learns that Madhura is Shubhra's mother.Rishi and Roli arrive home and see Chandrani. Shubhra tells them that Chandrani is their paternal grandmother. Rishi calls Kuldeep using a neighbour's phone and Samaira reveals the truth to him. Shubhra tries to convince Rishi that everything is fine with Kuldeep. An intoxicated Madhura curses her husband. Rishi tells Kuldeep over a phone call that Samaira has revealed the truth to him. Shubhra's father calls Kuldeep home and gives him the divorce papers. Rishi and Roli leave for Mumbai without telling Shubhra to bring Kuldeep home. Chandrani brings Rishi and Roli home. Shubhra decides not to divorce Kuldeep, which upsets her father. Later, Chandrani tells Shubhra how to save her family from getting broken.

Shubhra comes to Mumbai with the kids and pretends to accept Kuldeep and Samaira’s relation. Samaira tells her to return to Pune. Shubhra tries to convince Kuldeep to let them stay.Due to Kuldeep, Samaira agrees to let Shubhra and her children stay in her house. Chandrani's health deteriorates and Madhura brings her home. Kuldeep leaves to go to Europe with Samaira.
