School Information
To balance the education of town and country and to promote the development of education of Xinchuang District, Taiwan Provincial Government founded the preparatory department of this school on October 18 in the year of 1990 and it was officially established and named “Taiwan Provincial Xinchuang Senior High School” on July 1, 1992. Then, the school had been nationalized and renamed “National Xinchuang Senior High School” since February 1 in the year of 2000. Our school, covering an area of 3.7 hectares, is located on No.135, Zhongping Rd., Xinzhuang District in New Taipei City. Not only is the school located at the intersection of Zhongping Rd. and Xingfu Rd. but it also bordering several districts, inclusive of Xinzhuang, Taishan, Wugu, Linkou, Banqiao, Sanchong and a part of Shulin Districts, which makes the school convenient to get access to. In addition, with the school neighboring upon Xinzhuang Culture and Arts Center, the school has become the best place for students to pursue their studies.
The school buildings encompass administrative building, general classrooms, sciences teaching building, home-economic classrooms, computer labs, teaching building, playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts and track and field, school gardens, library, and student activity center.
Our school is the first public senior high school in Hsinchuang District equipped with the co-ed system and experimental art class. In the first year of the foundation, the school temporarily borrowed places from Xintai Elementary School nearby for teaching and also recruited six new classes. With the school returning to where the school is currently located on August 1, 1993, the number of the classes increased to fifteen. In 1994, there were twenty-five classes and thirty-six in 1995. Since 1997, the number of classes had amounted to fifty-one. Currently, there are fifty-seven classes in total, including three art classes.
The school aims to be committed to providing a whole person education that includes ethical education, intellectual education, physical education, social skills education, and aesthetic education as well as focuses on the implementation of humanistic education. Besides, the school executes the normalization of teaching, put equal emphasis on each subject of teaching, and strengthens students’ life education as well their school club activities.
The promotion of school affairs accentuates administration enforced by law, responsibilities assumed by respective levels with powers authorized level by level, and the transparentization and the democratization of the decision-making process. The school regularly holds seminars of education and conducts computer training programs and so forth so as to encourage teachers to pursue further education and acquire more novice knowledge to promote their own self-improvement. Since the foundation of the school, the number of the freshmen who come from Xinzhuang District has been increasing year by year, which accounts for up to ninety percent of them. This phenomenon indicates that this school has already fulfilled the ideal that the government established the school to make it convenient for outstanding students of Xinzhuang District to enroll in a nearby school.
