Niall Tinney

Niall Tinney is an Irish sportsperson. He has played Gaelic football for his club Irvinestown and the Fermanagh county team.

Tinney was an integral part of Fermanagh's meteoric rise to the latter stages of the 2004 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.[1]

In 2016 Naomi Tinney became the first GAA transgender goalkeeper to represent Fermanagh in both adult men and ladies football teams. Unfortunately Naomi’s performances in goals failed to recapture the pre-op 2004 days for Niall in Croke park. Naomi was dropped from the panel. She now resides in Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh; founding the first transgender cat refuge with her partner Greg. She remains a significant contributor to transgender goalkeepers rights in Fermanagh
