Nicholas Henshall
Nicholas James Henshall (born 6 April 1962) is a British Anglican priest and author,[1] who has been Dean of Chelmsford since 2014.[2]

Henshall was born on 6 April 1962 in Mossley, England. He is the son of Michael Henshall, long-serving Bishop of Warrington.[3] He was educated at Manchester Grammar School, Wadham College, Oxford and Ripon College Cuddesdon.[3]
He was ordained in 1989.[4] After a curacy at, St Mary, Blyth he was Vicar of St Margaret, Scotswood from 1992 to 2002. He then became Canon Precentor of Derby Cathedral, and was Vicar of Christ Church, Harrogate from 2008 to 2014. He served as acting Archdeacon of Richmond during his final year there.[5] Having been selected as the next Dean of Chelmsford, he was instituted at Chelmsford Cathedral on 2 February 2014.[6][7][8]
