Nizhalgal Ravi
Ravichandran Samanna known by his stage name Nizhalgal Ravi is an Indian film and television actor who has performed in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films and serials. He started his career in 1980 with the film Nizhalgal.[1] He has acted in 500 films.[2]

Career
Nizhalgal Ravi, an actor in South Indian film industry, started his career under the baton of veteran director Bharathiraja in the Tamil film Nizhalgal which fetched him his sobriquet. He played the role of an aspiring hero who falls in love. He has had many character roles including films Vedam Puthithu, Nayakan, Chinna Thambi Periya Thambi, Annamalai, Marupadiyam and Aasai. He portrayed roles such as those of a kind-hearted father, a ruthless villain, or a back-stabber. He dubbed for Amitabh Bachchan for the program Kaun Banega Crorepati in Tamil. He acted in more than 25 movies in Malayalam during the 80s. He acted in director K. Balachander's telefilm Rayil Sneham (Doordarshan), which became a hit in 1989.
Personal life
He was born as Ravichandran to Shyamanna and D. Rajammal in an orthodox family, as the youngest of his 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He completed his B.A. in Economics in P.S.G. Arts, Coimbatore.
He is married to Vishnupriya in 1986 with whom he has one son, Rahul Ravi born in 1988. His son Rahul Ravi is Married to Muthupriya in May 2017.
