Northern Colorado FC

Northern Colorado FC is a planned USL League One expansion team that is expected to begin play in 2022. They will play at the Future Legends Complex in Windsor, Colorado. The team is owned by the Katofsky family and the Future Legends ownership group.[1]

History

Soccer in Colorado

There are two other professional soccer teams in the state of Colorado. Colorado Rapids play in Major League Soccer, and Colorado Springs Switchbacks play in USL Championship.

Future

Colorado Rapids possible affiliation

There are no current plans to be affiliated with Colorado Rapids, although that is a possibility in the future, according to co-owner Casey Katofsky.[2]

Stadium

Northern Colorado FC will play their home games at Future Legends Complex, a 118-acre multi-sport complex expected to open in 2022. The complex is expected to have 10 baseball fields and 12 soccer pitches.[3] Northern Colorado will share the complex with minor-league baseball team Northern Colorado Owlz.[2]
