Northern Diamonds
Northern Diamonds are a women's cricket team that represent Yorkshire and North East England, one of eight regional hubs in English domestic women's cricket. They play their home matches at Headingley Cricket Ground and the Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street.[1] They are captained by Hollie Armitage and coached by former England cricketer Danielle Hazell.[2] The team carries over many elements of the WCSL team Yorkshire Diamonds, but are now partnered with Yorkshire CCC, Durham CCC and Northumberland CCC.[3] The Diamonds reached the final of the inaugural Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, but lost to the Southern Vipers.[4]
