Oracle CRM

Oracle CRM is customer relationship management system created by Oracle Corporation.

History

Oracle hired Mark Barrenechea in 1996, who formed a "Front Office" team within Oracle Application division in 1997. That team evolved into the CRM division of Oracle in 1998. Oracle acquired Siebel Systems in September 2006 and later acquired UpShot CRM.

Variations of Oracle CRM

Oracle offers different installations of the CRM system:

  • On premises system
  • On demand[1] / Software as a Service subscription
  • Social CRM[2]
  • PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM (formerly owned by PeopleSoft, which was acquired into Oracle in 2005)[3]
