Order of Hamilton
The Order of Hamilton is a Municipal Order awarded to residents of the city of Hamilton, Ontario for "significant volunteer achievements" in service to the city or communities therein.[2] It was announced on April 10, 2019[3] by Mayor Fred Eisenberger, and the first Orders were awarded in January 2020 at the Mayor's New Years Levee.[4] The city created the Order as a mirror to those granted in other municipalities, in order to award "[t]he unsung heroes of our communities [who] are the endless volunteers".[5]
