Orphan: First Kill
Orphan: First Kill is an upcoming American horror film, directed by William Brent Bell, from a screenplay by David Coggeshall. It is a prequel to the 2009 film Orphan. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick serves as executive producer. Isabelle Fuhrman reprises her role as Esther, with Julia Stiles also starring.

Plot
Leena Klammer escapes from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to the United States by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Posing under the name “Esther”, she comes into conflict with the family's matriarch.

Production
In February 2020, it was announced William Brent Bell would direct the film, titled Esther, from a screenplay by David Coggeshall, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick serving as an executive producer.[1] In November 2020, the film's new title was announced as Orphan: First Kill,[2] with Isabelle Fuhrman reprising her role as Esther, and Julia Stiles and Rossif Sutherland joining the cast.[3][4] Filmmakers said they used a combination of makeup and forced perspective shots to allow Fuhrman to again portray Esther.[2] Additionaly, two child actors will serve as body doubles for Fuhrman.[5]
Principal photography began in Winnipeg in November 2020[3] and wrapped in December 11th, 2020.[6]
