Early life

After graduating from Minneapolis College of Art and Design,[1] Dennis traveled to China to teach oral English at Shenzhen Foreign Languages School and Shanghai Jianqiao College,[2] for three years.[1]

Career

Returning to the United States, Dennis was hired by Cartoon Network as a storyboard artist and writer for Regular Show.

In 2014, Dennis pitch the idea of Infinity Train to Cartoon Network who eventually greenlit the pilot a year later.[3] The pilot was released on November 1, 2016 on the Cartoon Network App and on the network’s official YouTube channel the following day.[4] Within a month, the pilot received a million views on YouTube. A petition to greenlight the series garnered over 50,000 signatures before the show was greenlit.[5]

Dennis served as the show's writer, executive producer, record producer and provided the voice of Sad-One.[6] The series received critical acclaim and was nominated for an Annie Award for Best Special Production.[7] While the series was intended to be a mini-series, Dennis announced that it would continue as an anthology series.[8]
