PLM Graduate School of Law

The Graduate School of Law of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is one of the eight graduate schools of the university. It was launched on July 7, 2004 at the Manila Hotel, with former Undersecretary of the Department of Justice, Atty. Ernesto L. Pineda, as its first dean. Currently, former Supreme Court's Second Division Chairman Justice Angelina G. Sandoval-Gutierrez sits as the dean of the Graduate School of Law.

Admissions

The Graduate School of Law is open to qualified lawyers, whether in the private service or in the government. The degree programs cover emphases on major concerns of private, public and remedial laws. It has the following requirements for admission:

  • For Master of Laws:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Law
    • Membership in the Philippine Bar
    • Good standing as a lawyer
  • For Doctor of Civil Laws:
    • Master of Laws, with a general weighted average of at least 1.75 (or its equivalent, 88% or B+ grade).
    • Membership in the Philippine Bar
    • Good standing as a lawyer
