Paula Šūmane

Paula Šūmane (born 4 May 1989 in Riga) is a Latvian concert violinist and the prize winner of international violin competitions[1][2] and the Latvian Great Music Award.[3] She is a graduate of Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris[4] and Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz. Šūmane has collaborated with world-renowned conductors, such as Pinchas Steinberg, Andris Poga, Daniel Raiskin, Normunds Šnē, Sesto Quatrini, Gintaras Rinkevičius, Simone Young, Lawrence Foster, Eiji Oue, and others.[5] As a soloist, Paula Šūmane has performed with various symphony and chamber orchestras, including Latvian National Symphony Orchestra,[6] Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra,[7] Lisbon Metropolitan orchestra, Hofer Symphoniker, Baden-Baden Philharmonic orchestra, Sinfonietta Rīga,[8] Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.
