Pelli Peetalu
Pelli Peetalu (transl. Wedding Seats) is a 1998 Telugu-language romantic comedy film, produced by V. B. Rajendra Prasad under the Jagapati Art Pictures banner and directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. It stars Jagapati Babu, Soundarya with music composed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film was recorded as a Super Hit at the box office.[1] Upon release, the film received positive reviews, and remained a musical hit.[2][3] The film was a remake of the Malayalam film Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, starring Dileep Pillai and Manju Warrier and was also remade in Kannada as Sambhrama in 1999, starring Ramesh Aravind and Kaveri.

Plot
Gopi (Jagapati Babu) is a simple and self-respect man who does not work under anyone, so he opens his own watch repair shop in his hometown. Anjali (Soundarya) is the third daughter of a music teacher who lives with her elder sisters Aswini (Shilpa), Aruna (Jhansi) and their grandmother (Nirmalamma). They also have a stepbrother Raghu (Hemanth), who always harasses them. Anjali works at a store in the city. Gopi's brother buys a house next to Anjali. It so happens that Gopi & Anjali run into each other a few times and slowly, they fall in love. However, Anjali has a problem with their marriage since she has two elder unmarried sisters. Gopi takes the responsibilities of Anjali and he finds a groom for Aswini, but it fails because she is dumb, then Gopi's friend Brahmaji (Brahmaji), marries her. Anjali's second sister Ashwini is in love with a guy Ravindra (Raja Ravindra); his mother (Telangana Shakuntala) asks for 1 lakh worth of ornaments as dowry. Gopi agrees for it, he sells his shop and decides to work in Tatabbai's (Tanikella Bharani) shop on 10 years agreement by selling his self-respect. On the previous night of the wedding, Raghu steals the ornaments from Anjali's house. Gopi chases him, in that quarrel, accidentally Raghu dies. Gopi confesses to Anjali but they hide it. After the wedding, Gopi surrenders himself to Police and he is sentenced to 5 years. Finally, the movie ends a happy note, Gopi returns after 5 years and Anjali gives him a warm welcome.
