Peter Jankowski

Peter Jankowski is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Wolf Entertainment, headquartered in Universal City, California. His work across both film and television have earned him an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, and an Emmy Award. Jankowski has produced over 1900 episodes of television.

Jankowski is currently an Executive Producer of the highly successful NBC series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. (TV Series), Chicago Med, the upcoming Law & Order: Organized Crime, and CBS series FBI (TV series) and FBI: Most Wanted. Jankowski has also served as Executive Producer on former series Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: LA, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Law & Order: True Crime, New York Undercover, Chicago Justice, and Dragnet.

In 2003 Jankowski produced the World Trade Center tribute "Twin Towers",[1] which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject).

He also produced When You're Strange, a documentary about Jim Morrison and The Doors,[2] which made its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival[3] and made its international debut at the 2009 Berlin International Film Festival.[4] The film's airing on the acclaimed PBS American Masters Series garnered a 2010 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Nonfiction Series and won a Grammy Award for Outstanding Longform Video in 2011.[5]

Before joining Wolf Entertainment in 1997, Jankowski served as Senior Vice President of Universal Television where he was responsible for all series produced under that banner, which included Northern Exposure, Quantum Leap and Coach (TV series). He produced 12 films with the Hispanic Film Project (president 1990-1993) and served on the board of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society.[6]

Jankowski is an alumni of the College of the Holy Cross.
