Phulpakharu (TV series)

Phulpakharu is an Indian Marathi language television series that aired on Zee Yuva. The series was aired on 24 April 2017 and ended on 26 October 2019.[1] The series was rerun in COVID-19 Pandemic.[2][1][3][4][5]

Plot

The story based on young college-going couple-Manas and Vaidehi. It is shown that Manas is in love with Vaidehi, and he writes love letters and poems to her. She falls in love with these poems, and arranges a meet with her secret admirer through Manas' best friend, Amit. They later come close through an inter college drama (skit) competition. Vaidehi soon falls in love with Manas as well, and proposes to him. Manas takes time to accept the fact, and soon they start dating. Vaidehi faces a few problems, because her best friend, Sameer, is in love with her, but she doesn't feel the same way about him. They reconcile later, as only friends. Their daily lives are shown, with cute Manas-Vaidehi romantic moments.Soon, Sameer's father sets a trap for Manas and Vaidehi's fathers, turning both the Rege and Inamdar families against each other. Sameer, Manas and Vaidehi soon realize what Sameer's father has done,and at a New Year's party, they provoke Sameer's father to confess his crimes, in front of their fathers. Soon the families reconcile.

A few days pass,and this marks the entry of a villian, Maya in the college. Maya sweet talks Vaidehi, and becomes her friend. Maya becomes obsessed with Manas soon, and plots for Manas to become hers. She visits his house too often, traps herself and Manas in a classroom in the college for a whole night, and pays a boy to click their intimate photos and to blackmail Manas. She tells everything one-sided to Vaidehi as well, which results in Vaidehi suspicions about Manas, and her trust is broken. Sameer tries to make Manas and Vaidehi clear their misunderstandings,but to no vain. Vaidehi then breaks up with Manas, hurt, angry and broken. Sameer takes matyers in his own hands, and sets a plan to fool Maya. The plan works, and Manas and Vaidehi are back together.

Manas and Vaidehi reveal their relationship at their homes, resulting in acceptance from both families.

This marks the entry of Rocky, a musician, who troubles the gang, and this results in Vaidehi challenging Rocky to a band concert competition. It is later revealed that Maya and Rocky are very close friends, almost romantically inclined towards each other. They plan the destruction of Manas and Vaidehi, by using Tanya, Vaidehi's close friend, and a member of their gang. Tanya also influences Varsha, Vaidehi's best friend.

On the day of Holi, Maya mixes bhaang in the drink,and this results in Manas Vaidehi coming close at Vaidehi's house, and they have an intercourse.

Meanwhile, their Dosti band wins against Rocky, and amid the celebrations,Vaidehi is revealed pregnant.

Here, it is shown that Tanya and Sameer fall in love, and Sameer reveals his love for Tanya. They start dating.

After their college final exams-their college ends,and the doctor tells Manas-Vaidehi the final results, and they convey the truth to their parents and friends.

Manas' father removes him from the house, and tells him that he may live with them only if he starts earning soon.

Manas completes the challenge, and his father accepts him back in the house.

After their exam results, Manas and Vaidehi marry each other.

Meanwhile, Manas' uncle is shown greedy, and he wants the house owned by Manas' father. He plots things against Manas-Vaidehi, and plans Manas' accident, which results in Manas in a somewhat coma. Vaidehi is heartbroken, but stays strong, for their baby, and for Manas.

Manas finally wakes up, ans Vaidehi starts believing in God.

Meanwhile, Manas' boss's wife, Shalmalee is a woman with no child of her own. She becomes extremely protective of pregnant Vaidehi, and develops dislike for Manas. She kidnaps Vaidehi, influences Vaidehi and her husband, Sheetal against Manas.

Manas and Vaidehi soon find out the truth, and confront Sheetal and Shalmalee. Shalmalee is revealed with a psychological problem. Manas and Vaidehi forgive Shalmalee for her actions.

Manas and Vaidehi's baby is born now, and they name her Mahi. They shift to a new house, gifted to them by Vaidehi's father. They now live with their aunt,Kusum, whereas Manas' parents shift to Kolhapur.

Manas leaves his job, and joins Vaidehi's father's business, along with Vaidehi. He then pursues his dream career, and works for a music company named RBK, owner:Revati Kotibhaskar.

Meanwhile, Sameer Tanya start facing problems due to Revati.

Manas' parents come to live with Manas Vaidehi for a while, and it is shown that Manas' father has changed, from a strict man, to a cool man. He tells the family about Sulu( Sulochana), his childhood friends. Everyone suspects about this extra marital affair. A series of fun events is shown ,where everyone tries to find out the truth. Finally he reveals that she is only his friend.

Meanwhile, Revati plots against Manas, and accuses him falsely of wrong intimate behavior.

Here, Sameer Tanya break up.

Vaidehi, who is now becoming a lawyer, decides to fight against Revati. Sameer takes Revati's side. Revati loses the case, and it is revealed that Revati has experienced lack of love from her parents and friends,which resulted in her being jealous of Manas, who has everything.

Sameer realizes his mistake, and apologizes to Tanya, and also to Subu, who is Tanya's relative.

Meanwhile, Manas' uncle asks for divorce from Kusum. Later, Subu and Kusum fall in love and decide to marry each other.

The show ends on Manas-Vaidehi's daughter-Mahi's first birthday. It ends on a happy and positive note.
