Piper High School is a public high school located in Sunrise, Florida, one of the nation's fastest growing cities. The school is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district.[3]

The school serves over 2,500 students from grades 9 through 12. The athletic teams are known as the Bengals.[4]

It serves:[5] most of Sunrise,[6] northwest sections of Lauderhill,[7] a section of North Lauderdale,[8] and a section of Tamarac.[9]

History

Roma Adkins became the principal in 1994.[10]

As of 2016, the total student enrollment was 2,459. The ethnic makeup of the school was 63% African American, 14% White, 17% Hispanic, 3% Asian, 0.1% Hawaiian Native/Pacific Islander, 3% Multiracial, and 0.3% Native American/ Native Alaskan.[11]
