Poplar Linens

Poplar Linens is an Irish textile company that produces fabric and interior products. Its retail partners include Tesco and John Lewis.[1] Poplar Linens manufactures cloth products featuring brands such as PAW Patrol[2] and Mrs. Brown's Boys.[3] The company is directed by Ben Walsh, Sean Walsh, Liam Walsh and Colm Walsh,[4] who also became the co-owners of Great Southern Hotels in 2006.[5]

In April 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Poplar Linens began selling personal protective equipment through their website for the first time.

History

Poplar Linens was founded as the "Handkerchief Factory."[6] The company is documented as the largest Irish manufacturer of linen tea towels by the Clew Bay Heritage Centre.[7] In January 2002, Poplar Linens became one of the licensees for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, producing bed linen, towels and flags for the event.[8]
