Porters (TV series)

Porters is a British television sitcom that has aired on Dave since 20 September 2017. The series is set in the fictional St. Etheldreda's hospital, and was created by former medic Dan Sefton.[1] The series stars Edward Easton, Susan Wokoma, Claudia Jessie, Rutger Hauer and Daniel Mays.[2][3] The first series of three episodes began on 20 September 2017.[4] A second series of six episodes began airing on 14 March 2019.[5]

Premise

Deluded Simon Porter, dreams of becoming a doctor – but he has to start from the bottom and be a porter. His plan? Work his way up to be the best porter the NHS has ever seen.[6]

In April 2018, it was announced that Porters had been renewed for a second series of six episodes.[8]

YouTube mega-stars Ham and Cheese arrive at the hospital, and Simon accidentally spills a cup of coffee over a new super-expensive surgical robot.

To escape his mother's zeal at bedding her new boyfriend, Simon begins secretly sleeping at the hospital. Meanwhile, a long-term coma patient wakes up after a new operation, but thinks she is still a child.

It's the annual Hospital Emergency Simulation Incident Day, but after being accidentally knocked out Simon wakes up in the middle of a real disaster. Meanwhile, Frankie goes for a job interview.
