Portrait of Bartolomeo Bonghi
The Metropolitan Museum of Art holds in its collection a portrait of Bartolomeo Bonghi, a 16th-century Italian legal scholar. The portrait, painted by Giovanni Battista Moroni in oil on canvas, depicts its subject as he was in life; a man of wealth and status.
