Poyfai Malaiporn

Poyfai Malaiporn (also spelled Poifai and Poifhai, Thai: ปอยฝ้าย มาลัยพร, RTGS: Poifai Malaiphon) born 19 January 1977 in Fao Rai District, Nong Khai Province, Thailand) is a famous Thai Luk thung singer. He became known from the songs "Mun Tong Thon", "Katoey Pra Tuang", "Talok Ok Hak".

Early life

He was born in Nong Khai Province.[1] His birth name is Duangjan Malai, nickname Poyfai. He was educated in primary 6 and started on stage in 1994. He began on stage as a member of Mor lam band "Sieng Isan",[2] presented by Noknoi Uraiporn. Next in 2–3 years for member in Sieng Isan band, he left from Sieng Isan band and he started to record an album by himself. He was an artist with record label Topline Diamond, has many popular songs including Mun Tong Thon, Katoey Pra Tuang, Talok Oak Hak, etc.[3]

He has drunk liquor hard since he was 18 years old, he has weak health and can't work for entertainers fully. In present he has quit drinking liquor since 2017 with help and encouragement by his wife.[4]
